Mayor Brian Arrigo hosted a Ward 2 Community Forum on Wednesday, May 18 at the Garfield School, the second edition of a series of town halls the Mayor is hosting across the city. During the forum, the Mayor answered questions from residents on a range of issues, including parking, school religious holidays, pedestrian safety, economic development, and beautification.

More than one million Massachusetts residents, including over 300,000 children, live in economically distressed urban and rural communities with limited access to markets carrying healthy, affordable foods, such as fresh produce, meat and dairy products. Revere is no exception. Unhealthy options tend to concentrate in working-class and immigrant-heavy communities, leading to more obesity, more diabetes and other preventable chronic health issues.

City of Revere Inks Agreement To Save On Energy Costs

Mayor Brian Arrigo has announced a 20-year agreement between the City of Revere and Hunt Road Solar, LLC, a division of Citizens Energy, that will save the City millions of dollars on its electric bills over the course of the contract. The City Council approved the Memorandum of Understanding in a unanimous vote on Monday night.

Mayor Arrigo To Host Six Community Forums, Starting In Beachmont on May 3

Mayor Brian Arrigo has announced a series of community forums to be held in each ward, intended to give residents of each neighborhood a chance to ask questions and discuss city services and quality of life issues in their area. The forums will be held throughout the year, with the first, a Ward One forum, held next Tuesday, May 3, at 6 PM in the Beachmont School Auditorium.
