Mayor Brian Arrigo has announced a series of community forums to be held in each ward, intended to give residents of each neighborhood a chance to ask questions and discuss city services and quality of life issues in their area. The forums will be held throughout the year, with the first, a Ward One forum, held next Tuesday, May 3, at 6 PM in the Beachmont School Auditorium.
“I believe that it is crucial for me to establish and maintain a solid two-way line of communication with our residents.” said Mayor Arrigo. “Not everybody has the ability to come up to my office at City Hall, so I decided to bring City Hall to each ward. Listening to people’s suggestions, questions and concerns will help my administration develop sound policies addressing issues in a more holistic and systemic fashion.”
“I am looking forward to other elected officials joining me for these forums,” added the Mayor, who has extended the invite to other public officials to attend. “This is a team effort. In order for Revere to achieve its full potential, city councilors, school committee members, and our state and federal delegations will have to work together. Hopefully these forums provide an opportunity for all officials to learn from the residents and have productive conversations about the future of our city.”
